At the time of ripping, no DVD or Bluray souce is known to exist. Project notes: The majority of you are probably asking yourselves, “What is a ‘Compression Remix,’ and why would I want to watch one when a full TV series exists?” The four people who have actually watched AWOL are probably asking themselves, “OH GOD NO WHY IS THIS HAPPENING,” as AWOL, in its original form, is considered by some to be one of the worst works of anime to ever be aired on Japanese television. Fear not, you brave four – AWOL has been fixed. Some brave soul will need to take the caps of the old Anime Village VHS rips, OCR the subtitles, and re-edit and re-time everything to give us a subtitled version of AWOL Compression Remix.
